150 years at Philiphaugh

We will be exhibiting photographs and other memorabilia throughout the club rooms from the beginning of the season. All donations are welcome and we will look after any items you are willing for us to exhibit.

Commemorative matches

Our first game at Philiphaugh in 1872 was against a side from Grange CC in Edinburgh. Our intention is to replicate this fixture and arrange an invitational Captain’s XI Vs Chairperson’s XI for the end of the season. For the juniors we have a primary school festival planned and an Inter House competition at the High School.

Club Dinner

Previously a regular calendar event we have agreed a date for this celebratory dinner to coincide with presentation night on the 17th September. Numbers will be limited so please keep an eye on the website.

The permanent exhibition and commemorative events are being organised to celebrate this milestone. In addition funds are being raised to facilitate a refurbishment of the club’s bar and lounge. There are several ways members can support the club during this special year. For details of the various opportunities available go to the sponsorship page.

We are grateful for items already shared with us but would be happy to receive more – please contact enquiries@selkirkcricketclub.co.uk or call Neil Gentleman on 07597106620
