Current cricket

We are a local cricket club established in 1851, we are currently in East of Scotland League Division 2.

During the season (usually from Easter onwards) nets take place on a Tuesday and Thursday evening starting at 6pm.

Winter nets – three indoor sessions have been arranged at Earlston High School – 16th January, 13th February and 13th March (all Monday 6.15pm to 7.15pm).

New and returning players are always welcome and our players currently range in ages from 14 to 54!

We would like to highlight the arrangement of a pre season ‘tour’ and 2 invitational fixtures in June and September. We will be contacting ex-players able and willing to take part but if you haven’t received the call and would be interested in taking part email

Indoor cricket starts at Selkirk High School in January 2023, on Thursdays after school in the games hall. First session on the 19th January – 4pm (free entry).

During the season we will be running free cricket for juniors as follows:

Thursday 4pm – Hard ball training (for S1 and above)

Friday 4pm – Soft ball cricket in two groups – 5-8 year olds and 9-11year olds.*

New players are always welcome and we are particularly keen to see more girls taking part.

*these sessions are delivered in line with the ECB ‘All Stars’ and ‘Dynamos’ programmes. We are registered to deliver these sessions but it is up to parents whether they want to book online – there is a cost associated with this method for which you will receive kit.
